Romantic Movies: 10th Day of Christmas

Today’s gift suggestions are for movies that women like. Even better, though these are romantic movies, they’re so well written with tons of humor and so well acted that men will like them too.

Jane Austen Book Club starring Amy Brennerman, Emily Blount, Jimmy Smits, Maria Bello, Hugh Dancy, Maggie Grace, Kathy Baker, and Marc Blucas.

Ideal Husband starring Cate Blanchett, Jeremy Northam, Minnie Driver, and Rupert Everett.

Ladyhawke starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Rutger Hauer, and Matthew Broderick. This one is an old flick, but the gut wrenching emotion still sweeps you away.

Love Actually features an ensemble cast of Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Liam Neeson. It also has one of the best soundtracks of any movie in recent years.

A Good Yearstarring Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard as well as another fabulous soundtrack. If only I could inherit a vineyard in Provence!

Wimbledon is funny as all get out and features a great romance between Paul Bettany and Kirsten Dunst.

Give DVDs or get swept away with a wonderful movie you buy for yourself.
